A Private Integration Token (PIT) is how Orbit Velocity connects to your GoHighLevel account. It gives us read-only access to your contacts, conversations, and pipeline data so the AI can draft follow-ups based on real conversation history.
Your PIT stays encrypted and is never shared. You can revoke it at any time from your GHL settings.
Go to app.gohighlevel.com and sign in to the sub-account (location) you want to connect.
Important: Make sure you're in the correct sub-account, not the agency view. The PIT is scoped to whichever sub-account you're in when you create it.
Click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, or navigate to Settings.
In the Settings menu, find and click Integrations in the left sidebar.
At the top of the Integrations page, you'll see tabs. Click Private Integrations.
Click the "Create Private Integration" button.
Fill in the details:
- Name: Orbit Velocity (or any name you'll recognize)
- Description: Optional — e.g., "AI follow-up assistant"
Grant the following permissions (read access is sufficient):
| Permission | Access Level |
|---|---|
| Contacts | Read |
| Conversations | Read |
| Opportunities | Read |
| Users | Read |
You can grant additional permissions if needed later. Orbit Velocity only requires read access to function.
After creating the integration, GHL will display your Private Integration Token. It looks like a long string starting with pit-....
Copy this token immediately — GHL may not show it again.
Go to your Orbit Velocity onboarding wizard (or Settings > Integrations) and paste the token into the GHL API Key field.
Click Save — Orbit Velocity will verify the connection and begin syncing your data.
